Well what more can I say except that is sent shivers up my spine. I absolutely loved it!!!!! Memphis tells the story of a young, white radio DJ named Huey Calhoun (Chad Kimball), whose love of music transcends race lines and airwaves. She's a black singer named Felicia Farrell (Montego Glover), whose career is on the rise, but who can't break out of segregated clubs. When the two get together her soulful music reaches radio audiences everywhere, and the Golden Era of early rock 'n' roll takes flight. But as things start to heat up, whether the world is really ready for their music - or their love - is put to the test. Memphis features an original story by Joe DiPietro (I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change) and a brand-new score with music by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan. Directing is Tony® nominee Christopher Ashley (Xanadu) and choreography is by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys). A Show filled with heart , soul and lots of energy and definitely not to be missed. How did you get to be so good at what you do? I just smiled and said "Thank you"!

I was listening to an actor being interviewed the other day and heard someone say training is great but you truly learn by experience. As an actor I couldn't agree more...so goes the saying "practice makes perfect". Training may help you get there, but it is the experience that makes you a pro.

As a ticket broker, I think that statement is true as well. What makes me an expert in the field? Experience...Not just selling...however, I have been selling since I was 5 years old and started going around door to door selling holiday cards and wrapping paper. Guess what? I knew even at 5 that I was good at it. But to be really good at selling anything, including theatre tickets requires knowing your product better than anyone else. What is my product? Shows and seats! So how do you become an expert? This is my favorite part and what makes me love my job more than anything. YOU GO TO THE THEATRE! I can say I have been in every theatre on Broadway more times than I can remember and have sat in all areas of the theatres. As well I can say I do my homework on the shows. I see almost every show that comes to Broadway and if I don't see it I can promise you I have read nearly every article published on it.

Am I rare? No...every member of the staff at APPLAUSE does the same. I am usually just the more outspoken one about the shows because of my theatre background.

Give me a call or give us at APPLAUSE a call and you too will feel like my previous customer that you are in expertise hands. We will help you to make the right decision about what to see and where to sit.

H.
